Belly Turret of the B-17 Memphis Belle
I built a model of the B-17 as a child, and I read everything I could about this marvelous airplane. Sunday school for the 5th-grade boys was a special treat becasue our teacher had flown on the B-17 during WWII. Jesus may have been mentioned at some point or another, but not often!
The belly turret held a special fascination for me.
