Images in the NBCC Monthly Competition
Each month the North Bethesda Camera Club holds a competition with a defined topic. An outside judge is brought in. Prints and electronic images are judged separately; I only enter the electronic competition. New members are advised to compete in the "Novice" category until advised to compete in the advanced category and the competition is strong.

A Spielbergian Moment as a Huge Luxury Liner Appears through the Fog at Bar Harbor, Maine
Submitted to the May competition on "Modes of Transportation". The luxury liner looms somewhat menacingly over the simpler boats of a bygone era. I was shooting the sailboats when the larger ship appeared, but by bit, much like the animations in the Disney movies of the 40's when a magic paint brush caused a castle in the woods to appear on a blank page.
