Very clever still life created by Mother in 1947. In addition to the pumpkin, key elements in this picture are the wood roses in a Koa-wood bowl, tapa cloth that Dad brought back from the South Pacific, his pipe collection and a tobacco bowl. I sort of recognize the hand towel on the book in the foreground, and I am certain that both books and what appears to be a measuring stick mean something.
