"Stopping Down" the Aperture to f/13 Yields a Much Better "Depth of Field"
Compare to the previous picture and you see that everything is in pretty good focus. We have better "Depth of Field" at an aperture of f/13. But, becasue the smaller aperture lets in less light, we had to expose longer - 1/160 of a second - to get enough light on the sensor. This is not a problem in this case, as it was a bright day. But if it were darker, and the exposure had to be 1/50 of a second, the image would probably be blurred due to camera motion.
