The Summit of Mauna Kea from Kamuela
Canada-French-Hawaiian 3.6 m, Gemini 8.1 m, U. Hawaii 2.2 m, NASA IRTF 3 m, Twin Keck 10 m telescopes, Subaru 8.3 m. Not visible is the UKIRT 3.8 m telescope. I helped put the Hawaii 2.2 m (88-inches) into operation in the early seventies. At that time it was the 6th largest telescope in the US. Now it is merely the 8th largest on Mauna Kea.
