Solar Eclipse of 2017
Pictures of the August 21, 2017 total eclipse of the Sun. They were taken from Driggs, Idaho, right at the state line with Wyoming. I used a Nikon D810 and the Nikon 300 mm f/2.8 telephoto. Also included are numerous shots from our visit to friends in Manhattan, Montana, Yellowstone National Park, and the Grand Teton National Park.

Taken from the state line between Wyoming and Idaho in Driggs, Idaho. Nikon D810 at ISO 64 with Nikon 300 mm at f/11 & 1/500 seconds. Note the chromosphere at 8 o'clock position that will not be visible ten seconds later in the next shot.
