Manaus, Brazil

These images were taken in & around Manaus, in the middle of Amazonia. It begins at a 5-star hotel, the Tropical Manaus where I participated in an international conference. The setting is beyond elegant. Next are some shots of the favela (urban slums). Then on to the fish market (Mercado Adolpho Lisboa) & a local shop. From there my colleagues & I traveled by boat to the seasonally flooded wetlands west of Manaus.

Many of the geolocations are guesses on my part.
